Mr. Tesfalem Kidane Yosief, departed his life on Thursday May 27, 2021 at the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born on January 1, 1996. His death was the result of a car accident, a day that was the worst for his family to hear the bad news, especially for his mother Letay and his brother Mahary.
Tesfalem attended his elementary school back home in East Africa called Monoksoyto in the state of Eritrea. Due to all the situations of the country, he fled to the neighboring country of Ethiopia in 2007. He continued his junior school education in a refugee camp. After challenging all the hard life in the refugee camp Shimelba, Tesfalem received an opportunity to relocate to the United States with his beloved mother. After arriving in the United States in 2010, he was able to complete and graduate high school. He was employed with a lot of different companies utilizing different skills, but prior to his death he was employed with DoorDash as a food deliverer.
Tesfalem, as many called him, was a quiet and humble man, who loved his mom and family dearly. He had a very good heart.
Surviving to precious memories are his beloved mother, Letay Gebre of High Point, NC; his brothers, Mahary and Birhane; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends; and all his best friends since childhood.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. Mr. Yosief may be viewed on Friday, June 3, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
