Mr. Theodore Mack was born in Cheraw, SC on July 21, 1933 to the late Alonzo Hinson and Sarah Mack who both preceded him in death. On Tuesday, November 4, 2025 Theodore gave up his earthly life and went home to be with the Lord. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Cleo Smith, Marie Powe, Shirley Hinson, Cassie Bell Dunham; brothers, James Mack, Milton Howard, and daughter Betty Amason.
At the age of 18 he moved to High Point with just the clothes on his back and he went out and got his first job with Flowers Bakery, he left there and started driving trucks for Braxton Culler and he worked there for 60 years, he also worked with Atlantic Realty for several years and was still a faithful employee up until his sickness. Theodore started his own lawn service and became his own boss with only a 9th grade education; he accomplished a lot.
He loved his family and his children and most of all he loved the Lord he was a member at Temple Memorial Baptist Church for several years and then he joined new Horizon Baptist Church. He carried himself with dignity, independence and with unshakable strength and energy to keep moving and he worked hard to build a legacy for his family. He loved it with a stern hand but a loving heart. He always had a kind and loving smile on his face everyday, he never complained or worried about things he could not change he left those things in the hand of the Lord to work out. He served as a deacon, and he was a dedicated mason member of the Toussaint L’Ouverture Lodge #524.
He is survived by children; Ronnie (Jamie) Mack, Gregory (Heidi) Mack, Terry (Sheila) Mack, Traci Mack (Ken Jackson), James (Christina) Williams; son- in- law, Glenn Amason; grandchildren; Justin (Sandy) Mack, Jonathan (Whitney) Dunn, Julian (Kristen) Mack, Adam Elliott Dunn, Isaiah (Keona) Mack, Kia Amason, Holly (John) Neglane, India Mack, Kaylah Williams; special friend, Wendy Williams; special nephews, Joe Powe and Juluis (Sandra) Bennett; and other great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
There is peace in knowing that he is finally at rest, no more pain only light and imaginable love. So today we honor our father as we carry his strength in our hearts and his love in everything we do moving forward.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Matters of the Heart Ministries, 406 Ennis St. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

I use to work with Mack for several years at Braxton. He even got up a softball team and he coached. We were pretty good too. Mack was a dear sweet man and I enjoyed being around him. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.
Theodore Mack was my friend. Mack was a huge man with a huge heart and a huge smile. He also had a huge work ethic. He worked for my father and my grandfather, and I met him when I was 9 years old. Mack was with me when I started Braxton Culler Inc. and easily became a role model for many employees. He was an important part of the company for many years, and even after his retirement, continued to appear at company Christmas gatherings (Mack was usually the best dressed person at the event in his pin-striped suit and red tie!); he truly enjoyed seeing old friends, and everyone loved seeing him. Mack made the world a better place; he made my world a better place, and I will miss him tremendously. Rest in Peace, Mack.
Well, like Mack said to me many times.."I knew you since BEFORE you were born." I remember the first time that I met Mack...I was probably five years old. I went to Atlantic (were I continue the business) with my Dad and there was a MASSIVE man there. My Dad introduced us, I reached out my little white hand and it was engulfed in this massive, gentle black hand...I hope that I will never forget that mental image. Mack would come to 600 N Main well past the time that I THOUGHT that he would want to have there...I think that he liked it. I told him many times that he could work until he told me he didn't want to work there...he never told me that. One day, he just didn't show up. His presence in that office and his presence in this mortal coil are missed daily. I will miss my friend and know very deep in my heart that he is now in the glory of his God, and I hope he's riding a Goldwing ;)
My sincere condolences
Mack was a very special person. So sorry for the loss and condolences to family and friends. I worked with Mack at Braxton Culler from 1994 until he retired in early 2000's He would still come and attend our Christmas meals even after that which was always a pleasure. He will be missed by all who knew him.
