Obituary For Mr. Tommy Dorsett

Mr. Tommy Dorsett, 79, departed this life on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at WFBH High Point Medical Center. He was born January 28, 1942 to the late Emma Louise Dorsett and Bobby Coggins. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, David Ferguson and Harold Ferguson; his former wife, Louise A. Dorsett; one son-in-law, William Herbin.

He was employed with Chatham County Furniture for over 25 years. He was an avid sports fan.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Cecelia McCombs, Bobby Harrington, Jennie Herbin, Anthony Harrington, Cathy Chambers, James Harrington and Raymond Dorsett; sister, Linda Ferguson; brother, Robert Dorsett; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; special friends, Beverly Gainey and Anthony Leak; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private funeral service will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. Mr. Dorsett may be viewed on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
