Vincent “Bo” York transitioned peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2026. Affectionately known as “Bo” to family and friends, Bo was born in High Point, NC on December 2, 1957 to the late Cornell York and Eula York-Steele. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Thaddeus and John York; and loyal dog “Snowball”.
Bo attended High Point City schools and graduated from High Point Central High School, where he excelled in football and also served as a student bus driver. He furthered his education at Guilford Technical Community College, studying upholstery.
Bo was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was employed for many years at Slane Hosiery and later at Pella Windows, where he worked faithfully until his health declined.
He had a love for sports and entertainment and was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the WWE. Bo enjoyed cheering on his team, watching wrestling and western movies, passions that brought him much excitement and joy.
Those left to cherish his loving memory include: daughters, Tunisa Foster, LaTasha York, Hellena Grace and several grand and great-grandchildren; his devoted longtime partner, Barbara Lee, and her children, Cheresa (Maurice) Wright, Rasheda Lee, Qumara Lee, Sultan (Kendra) Ali, and LaToya Timmons along with her grand and great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Lafayette) Wall, Martha York, and Glenda York; and brother, Robert York; bonus sister, Elder Melodie Smith; sister-in-law, Onnie Faye York and lastly, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss him.
Bo will be remembered for his strength, dedication to family, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His presence will be truly missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
To the Lee family: Thanks for embracing and helping to care for him for many years. Barbara & LaToya we can’t thank you enough for the love and compassion that you gave in caring for Bo. We are forever grateful.
