I Crystal Albea Henderson remembered Mr.Bill and my mom(Nannie Bell Albea Weeks) were good friends.One thing their birthday was on the same month and day(May 25th).Mr. Bill would come by my mom's house on the Southside every week and I'm telling you one thing they had good laughs and conversations along with Melvin Saunders and Foster McDougal. The most beautiful thing about knowing Mr. Payne as a child he never changed once I became an adult. Whenever I saw him anywhere he always had that smile and showed much love. Selena departed this life last November 1st so I know they are celebrating in the presence of our Lord. I will miss him as well. You ever know someone that could make a quiet room come to life? Uncle Bill. He never missed an opportunity to bring joy and laughter to this world,and your laughter wasn't just a laughter it was a gut wrenching, put tears in your eyes, lay you out gasping for air laughter. As teenagers we would be in the other room hearing and witnessing such behaviors among the adults in the family. At times Uncle Bill would be on a roll that some felt the need to exit just to breath, and then it rolled into the room where us teenagers were and before we knew it we would be laughing. If anyone would have ask us about what we were laughing at, we didn't know. It was just that contagious. He will be missed by many. It brought to mind a scripture ecclesiastics 4:2 NIV translation And I declared that the Dead who had already died are happier than the living who are still alive. There's that word happier just for Uncle Bill Now he has throughout all eternity to share happiness. He's home. Our prayers and love are with the family near and far. Love Bo and Cheryl
