William Martin McCullough was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 1, 1966, to the late Margie A. McCullough and the late William M. Holmes. William was educated by the New York City public school system, where he later achieved his diploma. William changed his name to Lord Rashaun Allah God in 1981, after joining the Five-Percent Nation, also known as the Nation of Gods and Earths, to which he devoted his life. Rashaun unexpectedly transitioned from this life to the next on Friday, May 28, 2021, in Greensboro, NC.
Rashaun was a COMEDIC GENIUS! He lived in the light of the adage “laughter is good for the soul” and spread that joy infectiously with every person he met in his life. Every conversation with him would result in sore cheeks and a tight stomach from pure hilarity! He had opportunities to do stand-up comedy at local venues and was sought after for personal bookings in entertainment. One of his Facebook quotes that holds true to meaning said, “If I never made you laugh, you didn’t know me.” Rashaun was RICH in character and possessed a strong GIFT of GAB. He had the ability to persuade you to believe a lie when the truth was right in front of you. Hustler he was, he knew how to make a dollar out of 15 cents. For example, if your DVD was blank when you bought it from him, it was not his fault. If you are still waiting on them GRILLZ he molded for your teeth, it is still on the way. He definitely had an entrepreneur spirit and was determined to make it big one day.
Rashaun was a HUGE lover of knowledge. He thoroughly enjoyed reading books that empowered his mind, challenged his intellect with renewed thought and gave him the impetus to utilize his literary strengths in an impactful way. Since he was a conspiracy theorist, you could find books like The Nazi and the Occult, and The Rise of the Fourth Reich in his repertoire. He always seemed to surpass what was thought to be his mental boundaries, only to find that there were none; the journey to knowledge is continuously everlasting. We will no doubt miss Rashaun’s exuberant personality that overflowed with joy, genius, and heart. If we could coin a phrase or motto that he lived by it would be, LIVE life to the fullest, and always have a BIG IDEA to chase, because life is an invigorating race.
Rashaun leaves behind to cherish his memories: children in order from oldest to youngest: Venus Ranasia Ramae McCullough (DeAndre McCray), Rashaun Kawaun Unique McCullough, Ramiesha Madina Rakia McCullough (Janet Cross – Mother), Joshua Donte Hakim (Ayesha Hakim – Mother), RaMecca Devonne McCullough, El Rahiem Divine McCullough (Syvonya Massey - Mother), Douglas L.
