Obituary For Mr. Willie Lee Dow
Willie Lee Dow entered eternal rest on Monday, August 14, 2023. He was born in Pinewood, SC, on March 4, 1955, to the late Mary Eunice Dow Smoot and Moses Belton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Corina Dow, who raised him; grandfather, Larry Dow; brother, Harry Smoot; and two aunts, Lillie Mae Horne and Gladis Dow.
At an early age, Willie relocated to High Point, NC, and attended the Davidson County public schools. He was employed at Marsh Furniture for twenty years. After embracing the Lord as his savior, Willie became a member of St. Paul Church in High Point, NC.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two children, one daughter, Lakisha Dow, and one son, Willie Lee (Amanda) Dow, Jr.; two granddaughters, Ladaisa Dow, and Ananda Dow; two sisters, Rosa Lee (Dwight) Rumph and Shirley Smoot; two brothers, Larry (Carla) Smoot and Charles Smoot; three uncles, Larry (Naomi) Dow, Wilbur (Barbara) Dow, Joseph Horne; one great uncle, Johnny Mahoney of Lake Alfred, Florida; four special aunts, Mary McCall, Annie Mae Spann, Minnie McNeil, Laura White Dow; special nephew, Larry Dow and a host of other nephews, nieces, family members, and friends.
A special thank you to Mary McCall, fondly known as "Aunt Deak," for being a forever presence in our father's life throughout the years. Your care and kindness have been a source of inspiration which serves as a reminder to us of the power of love and compassion. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives and grateful for your unwavering support. Love, Lakisha Dow and Willie Lee Dow.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
