Mrs. Angela Lavorine McNeil McCormick departed this earthly life on March 19, 2023, at 2:47 pm at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Angela referred to as βAngieβ by her family and friends, was born in High Point, NC, on September 11, 1960, the daughter of the late Mary (JT) Rorie and Robert Johnson.
She attended the High Point Public schools. Angie was employed at Slane Hosiery Mills, Inc., as a Boarder until her retirement. In her leisure, she enjoyed sewing and having a good time with family and friends doing what Angie wanted to do! She was known for her smile, spunk, and adoration for her daughters, but most important to her, was taking care of her two great-grandchildren: Kingston and Kaiden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis McNeil, and Earl Warren.
Angela is survived by her husband, partner, and companion of 41 years, Bobby McCormick; four daughters, Imperial Harris, Catina (Carolyn) McNeil, Sonya McCormick, and Maleckia (Bobby) Commander; sister, Robbin (Jimmy) McNeil; three brothers, Michaell McNeil, Adam McNeil, and Willie Warren, siblings of the Rorie family; aunt, Pearline (James) McManus; three uncles, Adam (Geraldine) McNeil, John (Lucy) McNeil, and Michael Campbell; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday,March 29,2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service,Inc.
