Mrs. Annie "Pearl" Elmore graced the world with her presence on May 30, 1942, in Cherokee County, South Carolina, and departed from this earthly life on June 6, 2024. She was born to Maddie Ross and Vann Allen, who preceded her in death. Annie was also preceded in death by her aunt, Maggie McCoy; her brother, Charles Ross; two nephews, Rodney and Adrian Ross; a niece, Nicole Bethea; and several cousins.
She attended Grenada High School in Gaffney, SC, but later moved to High Point, NC, for the majority of her adult life. Her passions included cooking and baking, with a unique talent for making the perfect sweet tea. Additionally, she enjoyed hosting elaborate family gatherings, tending to her lush garden, caring for her beloved Koi fishpond, and adorning her home with festive decorations for every holiday.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Kennedy; stepdaughter, Loletha Glover; three granddaughters; Kecia (Donnell) Henley of Greensboro, NC, Kendra Kennedy, and Takieba Kennedy; three great-grandchildren; Jaylen Henley, Joshua Wadelington and Jordan Henley; siblings; Mary Calhoun, Ida (John) Bethea, Genie (James) Dula, Ophelia Ross, Eddie (Kecia) Ross, all of High Point, NC; and a special friend, Waymon Harris of Calhoun Falls, SC; she also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family whom she loved dearly.
