Bernice Maranda Phifer Patrick began her life on January 7, 1952, in High Point, NC, and passed on December 20, 2024, at Cone Health Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She was the daughter of Willis G. Phifer from Mooresville, NC and Cleaster R. Phifer from Granite Quarry, NC.
She was preceded in death by both parents, and two brothers, James W. Phifer, and Charles F. Phifer.
Bernice, favorably known as Randy, graduated from Job Corps in New Jersey with an Associates in Business. She also obtained her license as a Tax Professional and was employed by Jackson Hewitt Tax Services Inc.
She was a member of St Paul Presbyterian Church in High Point where she grew in her spiritual journey resulting in her profound faith and her love for Christ.
Although Bernice (Randy) had one biological child, her son, Ray V. Phifer, she was 'Mama' to many. Children from throughout the city flocked to her for guidance, support, and love. She always had open arms, and showered everyone with food and laughter.
Bernice (Randy) leaves behind to cherish her memories, her son, Ray V. Phifer, her sisters, Helene Robbins and Sandra Tillman, her brother Ronald Phifer, and her husband, Albert Patrick. Grandchildren: Lavender Scott, Makayla Cathy, RaSuan Phifer, and Iriel Phifer. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews. Also a host of cousins and friends.
It is without a doubt that Bernice Maranda (Randy) Phifer Patrick will be missed tremendously and there is absolutely no one who will ever replace her.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
Family, thinking of you and praying for peace and comfort as you celebrate Randi's homegoing today. So sorry I'm unable to be with you. I will forever remember her unique voice, beautiful smile and infectious laugh. May her memory be cherished and her spirit and shining personality live on in all of our hearts.
