Mrs. Geraldine Ingram Ballard, lovingly known as “Lean” to her family and friends, entered her heavenly home on April 1, 2026, peacefully at her residence in High Point, NC. Geraldine was born on March 27, 1948, in Wadesboro, NC, to the late Weldon and Cassie Bell Ingram. She was also preceded in death by five siblings: Vera LeGrande Ingram, James Ingram, Brenda Ballard, Annie Ingram, and Joretha Lindsey; a loving niece, Melissa Davis; brother-in-law, Nathaniel Stewart and her beloved grandparents, Gastor and Bessie Bell Ingram.
She was raised in High Point, where she attended local schools and proudly graduated from William Penn High School. She dedicated many years of her life to her work at Amos Hosiery Mills and Influential Hosiery Mills, where she was a valued and hardworking employee until her retirement.
Geraldine accepted Christ at an early age at King Chapel Holiness Church, where she faithfully served on several committees. In addition to her service, she had a special gift for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for others. Whether for church events, family gatherings, or simply to brighten someone’s day, her kitchen was a place of love, comfort, and fellowship. She also provided a safe haven for many children.
She was known for her warm and nurturing spirit, Geraldine extended love and care to many beyond her immediate family. She had a heart that welcomed everyone, always making others feel seen, valued, and at home in her presence. Whether through a kind word, a listening ear, or a helping hand, she gave of herself freely and without hesitation. She found joy in caring for others, often putting their needs before her own, and never hesitated to uplift someone in times of need. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving lasting impressions on all who were blessed to know her.
Geraldine’s love was genuine, her compassion was endless, and her gentle strength served as a source of comfort and inspiration. Her legacy of love and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she embraced and cared for so deeply.
Geraldine was united in marriage to Jerry Lee Ballard of Norwood, NC. From this beautiful union, she was blessed with a loving family. She leaves to cherish her five daughters, Debbie Williams (Anthony), Latoya Bittle (Adrian), Brittany Ballard (Jaylan), Breonna Ballard, and La’Miracle Ballard; one son, Johnny Quick and Storm Ballard, her loving dog. She was also a proud grandmother to a host of grandchildren, Tevon Williams, Siani McCauley, Damion Ballard, Adrieonna Bittle and five great grandchildren, Kashton Bishop, Ava Williams, Chase Williams, Korbin Bishop and Jaiden Bittle. A loving godmother of two goddaughters, Sandra Scott of Winston-Salem, NC and LaKeyia Sampson of High Point, NC. She also was a mother to a bonus daughter, Veronica McNair of High Point, NC; her sisters, Danette Rubin (Michael) of Boston, Ma; Wilda Stewart, and Alecia Faye Ingram both of High Point, NC; her brother, Robert Ingram of Lilesville, NC and William Dumas (Ella Dumas) High Point, NC; her two special aunts, Josephine Smith and Hattie Ingram of High Point, NC along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Geraldine’s legacy of love, strength, and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Thank you for the friendship that was given from the Ballard family while we were at King's Chapel together. Sister Geraldine was one of a find in the Body Of Christ.
To Butch, Latoya Debbie and the girls, thank you for leanding her to all of us. She never met a stranger, and never had enemies. We often talked about our broken knees, we said we must have gotten them from our grandmother Bessie Bell. Just think, I'm jealous hers is now all healed. As she walk the streets of Zion, think of all of us, and make room. God love her so much He just slipped her away home. Be blessed. God speed family.
