Mrs. Helen Jones Moore transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal home on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at her residence. Helen was born on November 27, 1949, to James H. Jones and Lucille P. Jones in Gibson, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Leroy Moore; her son, Roy Anthony Moore; three sisters, Claretta Tyson (Leroy Sr.), Mae Francis Edwards (Henry), Della Mae Blair (Burnie Sr.), three brothers, James Arthur Jones (Leeila), Jaycee Jones, and James Lewis Jones (Mary Ruth); three brothers-in-law, Cleveland Moore, Edmond Moore, and David Moore; special friends, Elease Barr, Josephine Thomasson, and Kathy Brunson.
Helen was a dedicated and faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for 58 years, where she was a member of the S.M. Frazier Young Adult Choir, Inspirational Choir, Gospel Chorus, Sunday School Ministry, Deaconess Board, and Church Mother. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord, her church, and most definitely her family.
Helen was married to the late Deacon Leroy Moore for 53 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending quality time with family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one daughter, CaTina Moore, of the home and one daughter-in-law, Vanetta Ingram Moore, of Winston Salem, NC; two sisters, Annie Pearl McLaurin (Pastor Ernest) and Christine Bracey (Charles) of High Point, NC; a brother-in-law, John Moore (Ann) of High Point, NC; sisters-in-law, Doris Jones and Juanita Moore; two grandsons, Roy Ingram (Dominique) and Nicholas L. Williams; two granddaughters, Tiffini Buie (Duriel) and Nautica L. Williams; six great-grandchildren, Peyton, Ayden, Arianna, Riley, Ryan, and Noelle; four bonus granddaughters, Sheila Gaddy, Asrienna Williams, Brittany Chisem, and Bianaca Williams; two bonus great-grandchildren, ZaKari and Bentley; godchildren, Larry Ervin, Phyllis Jones, Jeromesha Shaw, Elder Marcus Flake, Denina Davis and Saniaya Henderson; devoted friends, Geraldine Neal, Henrietta Johnson, and Sarah Johnson; special cousin, Mae L. Graves (Pastor James); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 715 W. Willis Street. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.

Mommy life as I knew it will never be the same now that you're gone. You were the greatest mother, a great wife, grandmother, great grandmother and all around good person. I thank and salute you mommy for all the values in instilled in me but the one that I value most is how you taught us no matter what to trust and depend on God and he would take care of us. I feel so lonely and empty inside now that Daddy, Anthony, and you are gone but I know without doubt God will take care of me now and forever.
