On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Jeanne Yvonne Lovette of High Point, North Carolina, gained her wings at the age of 74. Jeanne was born on July 24, 1951, to the late Clarence and Cecilia Hawkins.
She was a tall, caramel-skinned woman with bright eyes and a beautiful smile that could light up any room. She had a heart so big that she would gladly share her last dollar or even the shirt off her back with anyone in need. In her younger years, she loved photography, basketball, and bowling. She also played the cymbals in the marching band.
Over twenty years ago, Jeanne was welcomed into Jeff’s family, which includes his late parents, John and Josie Lovette
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Jeff Lovette; her son, Tarik Jones; her brother, Dennis Hawkins; and her sister, Laurette Hawkins Williams; grandchildren, Azhon Jones, Katilyn McSwain, Mia Simone, and Grace Jones; her great-grandchildren, Royal Jones, Ivy Jones, Giovanni Jones, and Kayleigh McSwain; as well as her brother-in-law, Johnnie (Minnie), Dennis, Tracy, Billy, and Terry Lovette; her sisters-in-law, Benita Banks and Phyllis (George) Ruff, along with aunts, uncles; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and acquaintances.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
