Mrs. Margaret Alston Copeland, 82, departed this earthly life on Saturday, February 7, 2026. She was born on August 12, 1943, to the late Thomas and Henrietta Alston in Ridgeway, SC.
In addition to her parents, Thomas and Henrietta Alston, she was preceded in death by her husband, George K. Copeland, whom she married in August 1965.
She was a devoted lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church in High Point, NC, where she regularly attended services. She was a member of the fellowship choir, the usher board, and served as a greeter. Throughout her life, her faith served as a guiding light, shaping her actions and inspiring those around her.
She dedicated over 30 years to NAPA Auto Parts before finally retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, working on puzzles, and spending quality time with her family.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memories: her two daughters, Venetia Copeland Gibson and Lilith “Michelle” Copeland, both of High Point, NC; four grandchildren, Jeremy Foust, Shambrea Gibson, Ricky Gibson Jr. (Princess), and Jawarri Copeland (Beyonka). Margaret had three brothers: Frank (Lilly) Alston, Thomas James Alston Jr., and Lenny P. Alston, as well as two sisters, Jeannette Vanderhall and Tracey Y. Alston, along with two great-grandchildren, Bryla Margeaux Pratt and Ricky Uriah Gibson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

My condolences to Margaret's family. We went to Wm. Penn. at the same time. We also served on the class of '62 committee. Margaret was always quiet and reserved. She will be missed by her classmates. We took pictures last year at our luncheon. God bless this family and keep them safe.
