Mrs. Mary Ramseur Moore, 93, of High Point NC, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at The Shannon Gray Rehabilitation and Recovery Center. She was born February 19, 1928, in High Point, NC to the late Otho W. Ramseur, Sr. and Patsy Gilchrist Ramseur. She was also preceded in death by husband, Isiah (Ike) Moore; son, Stanley Ramseur; grandson, Marvin Dunlap; siblings, twins; Alpha Ramseur and Omega Ramseur Hairston, Otho Ramseur Jr., Charles Ramseur and Marie Crone.
Mary attended William Penn High School. She later married Isaiah (Ike) Moore. She was a Member of Word Of Life under the Leadership of Pastor Ronald Diggs but later joined New Beginnings Teaching Ministries under Pastor Leroy McIntyre where she served as the Mother of the Church.
In her younger years, Mary collaborated with her mother at High Point Central High School Cafeteria. Later while raising her children, she worked part time at High Point Country Club. Mary also enjoyed babysitting a few of her grandchildren. Mrs. Moore spent most of her life as a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and cooking for them. She also loved church and was a praying woman.
Survivors are: four sons; Warren (Vivian) Richardson and Tommy (Angela) Moore both of High Point, NC; Jerry (Jackie) Richardson of Oklahoma City, OK and Kevin Moore of Butner, NC; one daughter, Donna McLendon of High Point, NC; two sisters, Nancy Stancil of New York and Patricia Johnson of High Point, NC; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, a special nephew, Andre Ramseur, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 19,2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30p.m. Interment will be MONDAY, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Carolina Biblical Gardens.
