Queen Ester Thomas entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Meridian Center. She was born in Pinewood, SC on March 27, 1947 to the late Moise and Ethel Touchberry Pack. She was also preceded in death by her eldest son, Greg McConico, youngest son, Calvin Alexander; sisters and brothers, Nathan Well, Flossie Gooden, Sallie Crosby, Dewey Wells, Prof Pack, Bessie Williams and Elijah Pack.
She received her education in the Clarendon County Public School System. She moved to New York briefly, and later returned to High Point, NC where she met and married the late Melvin Thomas, and to this union a son was born, Elrado McConico.
She worked for many years for Brayton International until her retirement. Queen loved her family, cooking, and she had a love and passion for fishing.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four sons, Elrado McConico of the home, LaJarvis Shankle, Daniel (Monica) McConico and David Prescott McConico all of High Point, NC; grandchildren, Elrado McConico, Jr., Daniel Bernard McConico, II, Quintavius McConico, Quincy Bernard McConico, Shaneque Smith and Tanesha Smith; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Moise Pack, Jr. of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A private memorial service will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel.

I worked with Queen for years she was a lady of class always had you on your toes laughing never had a bad word to say about any one and made the best Salmon patties she loved her son always talk about him she will be miss by all that knew her rest on Queen .
I miss you my Queen!! I have so many fond memories of times we shared and conversations we had. I will hold on to those memories dearly with all my heart. Take your rest now mother in law. We love you Queen and miss you dearly but God loved you best!
