Yvonne Yvette Goggans Brockman, age 55, of Greensboro, NC passed away peacefully on July 28, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Yvonne (Vett) was born on November 27, 1966 to Mr. Murphy Goggans Jr. and Mrs. Bertha Mae Rigsby in Ashville, NC. She attended Ragsdale Senior High later graduating from Southwest High School 1984. She went on to achieve her Associates in Medical Health and Office Technology at Brookstone College of Business and her Associates in Business Administration at Strayer University. She was a member of Mt. Olivet AME Zion Church of Greensboro, NC.
On September 16, 2016 Yvonne & Anthony Brockman married. Together they enjoyed keeping it real! Long conversations, reminiscing, leaning on one another, Bible study, gardening, and family and friends.
The most important part of Yvonne’s life was her family and creating memories with them. Her presence was a strength! Her passion for interior decorating and crafting leaves us all with small pieces of her creativity and joy! She enjoyed cooking, feeding and entertaining others. Her grandchildren brought her so much celebration.
Yvonne was predeceased by her father, Mr. Murphy Goggans Jr., sister, Lennette Goggans and brother-in-law, Allen Terry. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Anthony Brockman; her mother, Mrs. Bertha (& Mr. Tyrone) Rigsby of High Point, NC; sisters, Monica Terry and Crystal Goggans of South Carolina, and Jasma Moore of Greensboro, NC; brother, Timothy (& Ciara) Goggans of East Hartland, CT; children, Ebony Gyant, Devin Gyant and Devon (& Kia) Gyant of Greensboro, NC; nine grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family/relatives and friends.
Although she has left this earthly life, her memory will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her and were touched by her generous spirit.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
