It is with a lavender heart to announce that Barbara Anne McGee (Baer) entered a peaceful passing September 29, 2025 at the age of 75.
A retired Wisconsin flight attendant of Continental Airlines and a dedicated mother of two surviving children, Megan (Robert) Peters and Eric (Kayla) McGee; grandmother to Guinevere & Michael, Cardyn & Gage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick Baer and Anne Baer and brothers, Dan Baer and Ray Baer.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, swimming and viewing performing arts.

Barbara Anne was born Feb.,12,1950 in Madison WI, the first child of Richard (Dick) and Anne Baer. She was a cheerleader in 8th grade for the Edgewood Crusaders where she went to school from kindergarten through 8th grade. She then transferred to Madison West High School and graduated in 1968. She was stunning in a mint green dress her mom sewed for her to wear as the Midwinter Queen her senior year. She studied nursing at UW La Crosse and was certified as an LPN. She worked many years in the medical field until she became a flight attendant for Continental Airlines. Â
Barb was an accomplished speed skater winning a Madison city title as a youth. She took piano lessons for many years and loved playing. Barb was a swimmer growing up and a member of the "unofficial" Madison West High girls swim team specializing in the backstroke. Â
She is survived by family members Linda Baer, Mary Kay Hall (David), Molly Hoger, Casey Baer (Meg), Andy Baer (Kelly), Kitty Schefelker (Rick) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eric and Megan, I am truly sorry for the loss of your mother, I believe she is in a much better place. Love to both of you and family.
