Chantel Ma'Shea Baldwin, born March 7, 1985, returned to her heavenly Father on February 11, 2026, in a serene setting at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. Born to the late Ronald and Ernestine Baldwin. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronald “Tom Cat” Baldwin, Jr.
Chantel attended T. Wingate Andrews High School, graduating before pursuing her passion at North Carolina A&T State University and later earning her Culinary of Arts degree at Culinary of Virginia College, becoming a head chef in Atlanta, Georgia.
She is survived by her sisters, Tunita Coleman of Greensboro, NC , Vicki McMillan and Barbara Ann Baldwin both of High Point NC, and Karen Drummond Upper Marlboro, MD; her brothers, Anthony (Holley) Bell Greensboro, NC and Tony Riggs of Capitol Heights, MD.; she also leaves behind her godchildren, Aaron and Jiyah; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren she loved dearly. A special thanks to her Special & Devoted friend, Alicia Smith, who cared for and supported her until the very end of her life, she was a source of joy, strength, and love.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
