On Thursday, December 28, 2023, Pamela Melissa Johnson transitioned to a life of eternal peace and rest. Pamela was born on August 4, 1958, in Carthage, North Carolina, to the late Doris Johnson Farley.
Pamela was employed at the High Point Rockers Stadium as an attendant.
Pamela was a compassionate and caring person who always put the needs of others before her own. She willingly took on the role of caregiver for various family and friends. After fulfilling her caregiving responsibilities, she would often be found cleaning and humming to herself. Pamela cherished spending quality time with her family, talking on the phone, and watching the Lifetime Movie Network. She was deeply moved by the movies and would sometimes cry or raise her voice in response to the emotional scenes.
The true and complete measure of Pamela is found in the God she served, the lives she touched, and the memories she leaves behind.
Family remaining to cherish the memory of her life and love are her children, Joshua Johnson and Ashley Johnson; her sisters, Carolyn McCauley and Vickie McMillan; her brothers, Alfred McMillan and Willie McMillan; her uncle, John D. Johnson, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
We will miss her, for we loved her dearly and pray for God's grace, strength, and comfort during our time of sorrow.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. There will be no public viewing.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the family. Pam and I met after we were finished in high school. She a had a beautiful smile and great personality. They say that time can heal all wounds and this they say is true. Time is what it takes for us all, in the difficult time. And when enough time passes and the weeks have gone by, your loving memories and found memories will replace the tears. May the God of all comfort bring you peace. 2 Corinthians 1:3 says, "May you have underserved kindness and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." 9
