Ms. Latoya Renee Stewart, 37, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. She was born on August 17, 1988. Latoya attended Southwest High School, where she was an active cheerleader and graduated in 2006.
She grew up as a curious and sweet girl, the apple of her mother’s eye. Latoya loved the color pink, enjoyed shopping, enjoyed the beach, and had a fond love of music. One of her favorite artists was Mariah Carey, and her favorite song was “Black Butterfly” by Denise William.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lamont Armstrong, along with her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by her mother, Sandra Stewart, of the home; her special friend, Zolta Howie; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
We take comfort in knowing she is now resting in the arms of the Lord, where peace and joy are eternal. Until we meet again, Latoya, your spirit rides with us.
Latoya will always and forever have a special place in my heart. Love Mom

I'm so sorry sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter Latoya, Sandra. She always talked about you. I lost a daughter too so I know how you must feel. Latoya was such a nice person. I spent some time with her and helped her out when I was working down there 14 years ago. We kept our friendship on going and we chatted all the years since I was there. She is truly a blessed individual. We enjoyed dinners down there. She took me to Penny Lane, a taco place there and it was so awesome. We had planned to get together next time I came down. I'm sorry I didn't come sooner. She was so special. I believe she got back to living at home with you. She was so happy about that. She will be missed by so many. My sincere condolences to you, family and all her friends. If you need anything or just want to talk I'm here. You have an angel from heaven. God bless you both. Larry Prox
