On late Tuesday evening, June 15, 2021, an angel was dispatched from Heaven to transition Pastor Ronald L. Daughtridge, Sr. to take his walk around heaven. He. was born on November 16, 1960, in Thomasville, NC, to the late Pastor Joe L. Daughtridge and Louvinnie Williams Daughtridge. He was also preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters; three grandsons, and two granddaughters.
Ronald attended the public Schools of Guilford County and was a graduate of T. Wingate Andrews High School, Class of 1978. Following his graduation, he served in the United States Army. Pastor Daughtridge was the pastor to New Mount Olive F.B.H. Church in Thomasville, NC, where he served until his passing. Ronald was also known for his work during the furniture markets and his continuous work as a tax preparer, alongside close friend Roger Lane, owner & operator of Taxaco.
Pastor Ronald L Daughtridge, Sr leaves to cherish his memories, his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 42 years, Star Quick Daughtridge; his eight children, Ms. Tecolia D Daughtridge of High Point, NC, Mrs. Brittany (Donavaun) Mills of Archdale, NC, Mr. Ronald L. Daughtridge, Jr., Ms. B. Champayne Daughtridge, Mr. Malik Daughtridge, Mr. Tishown Daughtridge, Mr. Noah A. Daughtridge and Ms. Briana C. Daughtridge all of Jamestown, NC; ten grandchildren; one brother, John David (Carolyn) Williams of Wadesboro, NC; two sisters; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 808 Hilltop Street. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Pastor Daughtridge maybe viewed on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
