Rhonda Denise Fleming,62, of High Point, NC, departed this earthly dwelling and took her rest with the Lord on September 12, 2023. She was born in High Point, NC on April 10, 1961, to Charles Emanuel Fleming and Barbara Jean Fleming, who preceded her in death.
Rhonda attended High Point Central High School graduating as part of the Class of 1980. Rhonda loved people and lived her life offering acts of service to others until the very end. This was highlighted during her many years as a CNA for Lambs Nursing Home and James A. Johnson Medical Park. Additionally, Rhonda spent many years serving as an Assistant Daycare Teacher at Davis Daycare Center and various others throughout the Triad.
She was born and raised in the United House of Prayer For All People where she faithfully attended services throughout the majority of her life. Rhonda was a woman full of love, light, and laughter and she made sure to let her light shine wherever she may go. She never met a stranger and would selflessly give her last to others regardless of her situation. During the last four years of her life, she lost her mobility but she never lost her faith in God as she strongly believed that he would heal her body and restore her ability to walk again. And though she was never fully restored in the physical, on September 12, 2023 she was restored eternally in the spiritual. And for this, we know she is walking around Heaven all day.
Rhonda leaves behind her lifelong partner of 31 years, Rodney Hairston, of High Point, NC; She left behind no biological children, but served as the Godmother to her niece and nephew, Felicia Fleming and Alphonzo Brockman, of High Point, NC; three sisters, Deborah and Sabra Fleming, of High Point, NC, and Carnetta Ruthie Hairston-Tillman, of Richmond, VA.; two brothers, Carlos Fleming, of Greensboro, NC, and Antonio (Donna) Fleming, of High Point, NC.; nephews, Carlos (Brittany) Greene, of Durham, NC, Roger (Alexis) Boulware, of Kernersville, NC, Antonio J. Dunlap, of Charlotte, NC, Nicholas (Kierra) Fleming, of High Point, NC, Ryan Smith and Tyler Fleming, of Las Vegas, NV, and Tyre Fleming, of High Point, NC.; niece, Cheryl (Rickale) Rowe-Holland, of High Point, NC.; great nephews, Xavier Fleming, Alex Greene, Omari Boulware, Ramel and Kylen Holland; great nieces; Zaria Fleming, Zoey Fleming, Khloe Fleming, and Aaliyah Boulware; and a host of cousins and family friends who will all miss her dearly.
