Ms. Carolyn Williams a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away peacefully Saturday, November 15, 2025. A funeral will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Stephens Baptist Church 1609 Withers St. , Montgomery, AL. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Carolyn was born January 24, 1960, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late Eddie J. Williams and Lucille Thornton Williams. She was predeceased by her brother, Cafonia Williams, her grandchild, Kamarion Williams, and her niece, Veneshia Williams Smith. Carolyn was the second oldest of four siblings: Anthony Sr., Cafonia, and Rene.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Stephens Baptist Church, later rejoining the congregation when she returned to Montgomery.
Carolyn attended Robert E. Lee High School, later earned her GED, and went on to receive her CNA certification, proudly working in the caregiving field. While living in North Carolina, she also pursued her love of food and hospitality by completing culinary classes, something she took great pride in.
Carolyn was known for her resilience and the quiet strength she carried through life’s ups and downs; however, many lives were touched by her unwavering spirit.
She is survived by her four beautiful children, Shawon (Anthony) Davis of Boston, MA; Eddricko (Jack) Williams of Ohio; Kayla Williams of Montgomery, AL; and Terrence Williams of Montgomery, AL. Brother: Anthony Williams, Sr. (Wanda). Sister: Rene (Larry) Mangum of Montgomery, AL. Grandchildren: Joshua, Lauren, Hailey, Kameren, Katlynn, Karma, Dontevias Jr., Trey, Kamarie, Nia and Kyanna. Great-Grandchild: Jamarion. Two Aunts: Deratha Felder and Meritha Gantt of Montgomery Alabama. Niece, Joniya of Montgomery, AL and Nephews: Anthony D. Williams, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Genarrio Williams of TX. Great nieces and nephew: Jayla Williams, Marquis, and Kennedy Smith. A host of cousins, friends, extended family and church family.
May the Lord Bless her soul and keep her memories alive through us. God is good all the time.
I feel comfort in that Carolyn and I had the grace of having a conversation just days preceding her transition. So thankful for all those precious moments of prayers, visits, texts and conversations. You are missed 💕
