Remembering You

Nearly 10 years of knowing you is a lifetime of memories I'll carry with me. We came from two completely different worlds, yet somehow found a way to exist in each other's lives in a way that was uniquely ours.

You were complicated, misunderstood, and carrying more pain and loss than most people ever knew. I saw the parts of you that you didn't always show the world, and despite everything, I cared about you deeply.

There are some connections in life that are hard to explain to other people. Ours was one of them. It wasn't perfect, it wasn't always easy, but it was real, and I'll always be grateful that our paths crossed.

Our last conversation was July 20, and the last time we spoke through text, you told me you loved me. Your last word to me was "later." I never imagined that "later" would be the last word I'd ever hear from you.

I hope wherever you are now, you've finally found the peace you spent so long searching for. You will be missed, and a part of my life will always carry the memory of you.

My condolences to your family. I can't believe it you left us but I KNOW YOU, HE is in a better place. I appreciate the time I had with him and I know you we're tired weiry but strong but it was your time because God wanted and needed you with him so you can watch over your family and friends and soon see your granny again so let us not be selfish. I promise you he hurts NO MORE, so to his family and friends just be strong and remember his presence on Earth may not have been all peaches and cream but he always made the best out of anything through the Grace of God, Amen! I love you Derrick!
