You broke a lot of hearts with this one unc! Take your rest!

Love,

Tamika C.

My brother Douglas will be greatly missed.I remember growing up when Douglas was in 12th my brother Reuben was in 11th and I was in 10th grade . I was not allowed to go out to parties because I was only 14 so my brother Douglas would take me with him to see his friends and church and from there we would go out . I would look forward to those days because it made me feel grown because I could hang with the older kids. Lol Shelby

My brother Douglas was instrumental in me playing semi-pro baseball, as a picture. When I started playing baseball in high school, I went out as a picture and outfielder. I was a picture that could only throw hard and no curve ball. Douglas was the only one of the 5 brothers at home, that could throw a curve ball; even though he was one of the younger ones. Of course I pretended I was helping him to throw a better curve ball, by having him show me how he made his ball curve. By time Douglas kept showing me how he made his ball curve, I developed the skill of curving a baseball, without letting him know that I didn't know prior! Rest in peace my brother. I pray your life has carried you in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

I was blessed to know Douglas for some 68 years! As one of his older brothers, we shared an early life of sports. Douglas was actually instrumental in preparing and getting me to the stage of playing semi-pro baseball, as a picture. During our earlier years, Douglas was the only one of us that could make a ball "curve"! When I started playing high school baseball, I could only throw the ball hard and not curve it. I had to talk with my second youngest brother, Douglas, to figure out how to make the ball curve! Douglas was one of the tougher younger brothers that a lot like myself (no non sense) and would handle his business! I guess like most of us, we mellow out with age! When I last saw him at our mother's funeral, he appeared to soften somewhat! I pray my brother that you made your peace with our Lord and Savior, prior to leaving this earth. You took the journey, we will all take one day.

Rest in peace, my brother! Leo

My was the best friend I could ever have in the world and I really didn't remember the child hood memories of him but he will be missed by me Rest in Peace uncle Douglas.Love you.

I was blessed to have known my friend (Dougie) for well over 50 years. We grew up together, hung out together, and actually joined the military the same day. I will always remember our times, rest in peace my brother. Your partner and Brother-in-Law Earl (Chat).

I remember when we were kids. I was a "Tom Boy" loved to hang with Reuben and Douglas (Dougie). We were very adventurous. Unfortunately we would venture on to other people's property yes, we were down with (OPP). When the property owner would see us he would come after us and Reuben would say "Every man for himself, and God for us all" and he would take off leaving us behind but Douglas (Dougie) would always stay with me even if he had to pick me up and run with me, to make sure I got back home okay. Reuben would be home when we got there. LOL Rest in Peace my Brother Love Carol (Di)
