To the Johnson Family: I would like to take this time to express my personal condolences to the entire Johnson Family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the family during this hour of great sadness. I know that the many family members and friends will be there with much love and support. May we also remember that God will also be there for us. I truly enjoy the comfort words in the scriptures where our Creator is revealed as the God of tender mercy and comfort.(2 Corinthians 1:3-4) Yes words of comfort can be found right in the pages of the Bible. These comfort words will soon bring lasting benefits to our love ones who have died. Take at these two comforting promises from God. First God tells all grieving hearts that He would soon rid the earth of all forms of suffering. Why even death will no longer exist in God's new arrangement.( Revelation 21:4-5) Oh what a happy time period this will prove to be. However there is another promise that God wants all to be made aware of. This promise involves the restoring of life back to those who have died. So directing your attention back to the Bible, God tells us that He would soon call to those in the grave, and that our love ones would here His voice, and stand up in life again.( John 5:28-29) Again what comforting words these truly are. From this text, God is giving us His personal guarantee that Geraldine, and great host of others will have their lives restored back to them. That Geraldine would be reunited back with her many family members and friends. We understand that many may found it hard to put faith in such a promise. Why even our Creator understands the thinking of men, knowing that they have been seeing their love ones die right before their very eyes. So to assist all to develop strong faith in this promise, God has preserve nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about this future blessing from God. Here is just one such example that is recorded at Acts 9:36-42. I hope that all will get a chance to see how these verses apply to Geraldine, and to others family members or friends who have fallen asleep in death. So in closing we say please keep this promise of God near your hearts at all times. Remember that God has given us His personal promise or guarantee that this arrangement will take place. Yes when God makes a promise, it always becomes reality. For it is impossible for God to lie.(Titus 1:2)
Some of my fondest childhood memories include spending time during summer vacations at your house. You were the life of the party; full of laughter and love. You’d be one of the first family members to greet us at grandma’s house when we arrived. I so looked forward to your smiling face and welcoming hugs. Rest well sweet Geraldine. I will miss you dearly. Sonja Vane
I will always remember our childhood giggling spells on some nights and getting reprimanded by Daddy. We would start giggling and had a hard time trying to stop, and our bed would fall down which made it even harder to stop. RIP, Geraldine.--Bettye McAllister
