Obituary For Gladys Williams
Williams, Mrs. Gladys, a resident of Montgomery, AL, departed this life on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00AM from Mt. Zion AME Zion Church, Pastor Claude Shuford, officiating with a burial following in Eastwood Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Williams will lie in repose on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 1-8PM at Phillips-Riley Chapel, and at the church one hour prior to services.
In Lieu of flowers please make donation to Mt. Zion AME Zion church radio Ministry or Evangelism Board donations can be mailed to 455 W. Fred Gray Ave. Montgomery, AL, 36104.
NOTICE: Please be mindful that the State of Alabama and the CDC have advised that we limit gatherings and that individuals who are ill and or are at-risk (e.g., elderly, immune-compromised) should be encouraged to stay home. Social Distancing Practices will be observed during the visitation and services.

Gladys was friend indeed. She is a child of God, she loved the Lord and the Word of God. She will be missed on earth. She will live forever with the Lord in her heavenly home.
It saddens us deeply to learn of the passing of Gladys
Sanders Williams, our dear family friend of many years. She was a classmate, a fellow Sunday School and church member and a constant daily telephone companion. She will be missed beyond words to express. May she find heavenly peace with her precious sisters, Lavelle and Janice who went on before her. Odessa Varner and Charlie Varner, Jr.
