Obituary For James Surles Jr.
Surles, Mr. James Jr., a resident of Montgomery, AL, departed this life on Monday, April 14, 2025. Funeral services will be will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2:30PM from Phillips-Riley Chapel, Pastor Sylvester Bruce, officiating with a burial following in Kindle Cemetery.
Mr. Surles will lie in repose on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 1-8PM at Phillips-Riley Chapel.
NOTICE: Please be mindful that the State of Alabama and the CDC have advised that we limit gatherings and that individuals who are ill and or are at-risk (e.g., elderly, immune-compromised) should be encouraged to stay home. Social Distancing Practices will be observed during the visitation and services.

From the Macons family, may God be a shinning light in the Surles family. We grow up on Auburn, Kahn, Early, Carver and Booker street, also played many games of football and baseball and you was my classmate from the 1st thru the 12th grade. Rest on my brother.
