Remembering Mable—one of the kindest and most humble souls I've ever had the blessing to know. Your presence brought warmth, your words brought comfort, and your spirit brought light. I will always treasure our talks and the bond we shared. You were a beautiful sister‑in‑law and an even more beautiful human being. You will live on in my heart, in my memories, and in the love of your family. Holding Vann your husband, his family and all who loved you in my prayers, your family as well. Rest gently and fly high, sweet angel.
With love and mush respect to a Queen, Stacey Whitlow
May your sweet gentle soul rest in eternal peace always! You will be missed.
Mable—better known as Pumpkin—was loved by so many. We both attended Alabama State University, and I was blessed to grow up alongside her, spending time together in high school with my close friends Gina, Nietra, and Jana. I can only imagine her and Jana chatting it up and looking down on us, still keeping things going for Breeze and the crew.
Even though we graduated a year ahead of her, we stayed connected through everything—marriages, college, and raising our children. She leaves behind her adopted son, Tre, who she loved deeply, and her husband, Van, who she shared her life with.
I was honored to stand as their witness on their wedding day, a moment I will always cherish.
Mable was truly the kind of person you could call on for anything. Even while dealing with her own health struggles, she always showed up—especially when I needed help with my mom. She had a heart for people, especially those with intellectual disabilities, and dedicated her life to helping others.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
