To the Lawhorn Family We are sorry to hear about the recent passing of Mary Lawhorn. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family during this time of great sadness. Now is the time to be on the receiving end of get strong love and support from the family members and friends. I know that all will be there for you. May we also keep in mind that God will also be there for. The scriptures remind us that God is a God of tender mercy and comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) This statement is true about God because He tells us about the promised hope that He would soon extend to those who have died. To our departed loved ones God tells us that we are nearing the time period when He would cause a calling to go forth to those in the grave to stand up in life again. (John 5:28-29) This scripture should be clear for all to read and understand. Our Creator is giving us His personal guarantee that the restoring of life back to persons like Mary, and a great host of others will surely take place. Some may have doubts about this promised arrangement. And we can understand why many would feel this way since they have been seeing their loved ones die right before their very eyes. However, all must remember that God is the source of life for all things. Even if a person dies, God has the power and the desire to make any person whole again. Really, the future is bright not only for us, but also for those who have fallen asleep in death. To help all to develop strong faith in this future arrangement from God, our Creator has preserved nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about the resurrection blessing that is ever so near at hand. Here is just one such example that is recorded at Acts 9:36-42. I hope that all will get a chance to see how these verses will be applied to Mary, and to billions upon billions of people from around the world. So, in closing we encourage all to please keep this promise of God near your hearts at all times. Remember that when God makes a promise, it becomes reality. For it is impossible for God to lie. (Titus 1:2)
