My heart broke into many shattered pieces when I learned of your transition. Needless to say, if love could have kept you from leaving you would still be here with us. As siblings, I don't think the bond could've been stronger. I thank you for that. You are loved dearly, my dear brother and will always be cherished. Rest well Melvin we love you but our God loves you best. We will meet again in that "great gettin up morning." Uncle Melvin, I loved you so much, but God loved you BEST. I have so many wonderful and fond memories of you. You were so fearless and brave! You never complained and you were always so positive! You fought a great fight, and now it's time for you to take your rest! I remember the rides in the back of your convertible Camero, trying oysters for the first time because of you, watching you paint and restore cars in your shop, the many pony rides you took me on, teaching me how to drive a riding lawnmower just to name a few! You were truly one in a million! My heart aches knowing that you are no longer physically here with us, but we will always keep you in our hearts! I know that you are resting in the arms of our Savior!!! It is well with your soul! I'll miss you Cowboy!!!
I love you always and forever, Your niece Asiahπ€π€π€
To the Moore family. We must remember that we are blessed even when we are in sorrows. "Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God." (Psalm 90:1-2)

I am blessed to have called Melvin a neighbor and a friend. His entire family has been so good to my family for many years. When my dad passed, he told me he would always glance at my mom's house when he rode by to make sure nothing looked out of the ordinary and that gave me great piece. Rest easy Melvin, you will be missed. Chuck Moseley
My sincere condolences to the family. π
I am so heartbroken right now Melvin. I can't believe you are no longer with us my dear brother, but we will always cherish your memories - Our childhood and adulthood are full of many of them which no one can erase. You was a "Country Boy" indeed who "lived off the land," but God had better plans. I am living in a nightmare dream right now and I can't comprehend this loss. You fought so hard and was so strong, but I only wished more could have been done. I hope you know that we love you and wanted to be with you during your short illness as much as we could and there was nothing that we would not have done for you!! There is so much I wished I was allowed to do to help you. I can't keep the tears from flowing down my face these days. I will always honor the name you gave me, "Linda Ray," in a special way. You will always be in my heart until we meet again!ππ
To My Classmate of 1976, Linda, to Veronica and the Moore Family, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Rely on your faith in the Lord to sustain you all through these next difficult days ahead. Keep trusting in the Lord. He's too wise to make a mistake, and he's too just to do wrong. I remember Melvin as being quite, but always a gentleman. He will continue to live on in your hearts, and in the beautiful memories each of you have of him. I will continue to keep the family lifted up in prayer!ππ½ Much love, Cathleen Pritchett Johnson
