Obituary For Melvin Rand
Rand, Mr. Melvin, a resident of Montgomery, AL departed this life on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 1:00PM from Phillips-Riley Chapel, Rev. Keith Wilson, officiating with a burial following in Forest Hill Cemetery.
NOTICE: Please be mindful that the State of Alabama and the CDC have advised that we limit gatherings and that individuals who are ill and or are at-risk (e.g., elderly, immune-compromised) should be encouraged to stay home. Social Distancing Practices will be observed during the visitation and services.

I knew Melvin through Leavell & Associates for well over 30 years. He was such a gentle, kind and honorable human being. He and I would visit and share stories of our children. His love for his wife and children was something that he talked a lot about and which brought him great joy. While there was sadness, he and I were able to talk about those times too. He had the absolute best smile. I shall miss my friend, Melvin. May God bless his family and may the peace of God reign over you as you go through this difficult time.
