To the family of Ms Smith - I am sorry to hear of Ms Mildred Smith's passing. I met her when I first joined Freewill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a sweet person and will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Remembering and honoring a courageous freedom fighter who inspired many of us to draw a line in the sand and stand against injustices. We remember Mildred as a dedicated SCLC community activist who worked under the leadership of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, James Orange, and others in Montgomery during the turbulent, stormy, and dangerous 1960s mass protests movement against injustices. She helped organize and participated in marches, sit-ins, boycotts, and protests in the struggle for human rights, voting rights, justice, and economic equality. Mildred was a fearless and committed foot soldier who never wavered in her pursuit of freedom and justice. Through her courage, sacrifice, and determination, she helped pave the way for generations who stand on her shoulders today. We salute her not only for what she did, but for the example she set. Her memory and legacy will continue to inspire all who believe in justice, equality, and the power of ordinary people to create extraordinary changes. To the Smith family, we express our sincere condolences. Rest in eternal peace, Mildred Smith. Gone but not forgotten.

Mildred I am missing you already. I'm sad that you are gone to the resting place before I could get back to see you. Our time together was always fun and laughter like the times we spent going to different cities back in the to sing in the Youth Freedom choir. Rest will my friend until we meet again 💛❤️🧡💜
