Jessie and I are so very sorry to hear the passing of Otto. We learned of this yesterday. Our sincere condolences to the family. May Otto rest in peace.
Sonny and I have great memories. He was a great classmate, my deepest sympathy to the family.
My baby brother, Otto "Sonny" Mitchell, was a loving husband, father, paw paw, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, protector, encourager, one line joke comedian πand UA/Bama Assistant Coach/Game Commentator from his favorite chair in front of the Big flat screen TV πΊ. Thank you Sun βοΈ Burn π₯ as momma called you sometimes for all the memories of building me a race car ποΈ for my 16th birthday ππ in which you knew I couldn't drive 75 mph; setting up my basketballπ goal to teach me the game because I was interested, playing the game horse on Saturdays and me claiming I invited the three point shot; surprise visit at UA during my college years to grocery shop because your little sister was balling on that work study budget $ while trying to stretch one dozen of eggs π₯ until the end of the month; and last but not least you supported my kids in everything they participated in from Corky Bell dance recitals, volleyball π, karate π₯, baseball βΎοΈ, football π and basketball π especially AAU road trips. I won't be there physically on Friday when they are honoring and celebrating your life because your great niece will be born same day but I will be there in spirit with the family. Sonny, you have been granted your wings πͺ½; joined the ranks with our family members who have gone before you and God says rest peacefully my son and good and faithful servant. You are gone but never will be forgotten. It's hard π₯²and you are missed but you were only on loan to us for 73 years until God so fit to call you home. We are all on this earthly journey just for a little while in this shell π of a body temporarily. There is a mansion prepared for us in heaven and we must make that connection through Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior. I thank you for all the love and memories. R.I.P.
Deepest sympathy
Otto was a childhood friend, neighbor and classmate of mine. We grew up on the same Street, Adeline. We played baseball together on the same team during the summers and would walk to and from school together from time to time. He was a good and honest person. We called him Sonny. Condolences to the family. I'm sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace, My Friend!

Condolences to my family, "Just Keep On Trusting In The Lord". Prayer is the KEY to resolving our loss of our love one (my brother). We're going to miss him but God wanted "Sonny" with him in His Kingdom. We had him for 73 years, three scores and ten plus three. Each one of us have shared many good times with him and have many, many good memories that we can laugh and talk about. To God be the Glory. Lβ€οΈVE You All, "Sonny's" Big Sister
