I was Valerie's backdoor neighbor in Sheridan Heights. As young girls I spent many days playing with her and her sister Anita. We lost touch as adults, but I will always remember Valerie was a sweet soul, who always had a smile on her face. Unlike most young girls I can't recall her ever having anything negative to say about anyone. I was saddened when my brother contacted me with the news. My prayers are with the Faulk and Moore Family.
We were so young but I will always remember when you came to Detroit to visit, you were always bubbly and happy I so look forward to the time when all those in the Memorial tomb's will hear Jesus voice and come out to perfect conditions on earth where there will be no more death and things that cause us sorrow Revelation 21:3&4
Valerie was a childhood friend of mine, a wonderful soul who will be dearly missed. We lost touch over the years, but Val will forever have a place in my heart. You've gained your wings fly high my friend...Michele Johnson Anderson

My heart goes out to the family. I was in Montgomery when my girlfriend text me and told me about Valerie so sad. Valerie and I were in the Xinos Club together becoming Debutante and I remember her smile. I will be praying for the family, Valerie is your angel now. The name Valerie is rooted in strength and valor. The SJEI Class of 1975 extends sincere condolences to the Faulk family regarding the passing of your beloved Valerie.
I worked with Valerie for a very long time, she was always kind, loving and had a special way of not getting stressed out for big and little things in Our world at FEMA. Regardless of the time on or off work she responded and provided such a wealth of Knowledge, guidance in the world of Acquisition. I will truly miss her infectious laughter dealing with the silliest things that were not so important. I will miss you my dear friend, colleaue, sister in Christ. RIP Ms. Valerie life is so precious and time on this earth is never promised! God Bless her Child, Family and loved ones, May the Lord wrap HIS Loving arms and surround you with His presence in your time of loss and sorrow
My condolences to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you, wishing you peace and strength during this difficult time.
So sorry to hear. Thoughts and prayers. I was in a class with Valerie in 2000. Such a sweet person.
Valerie held a passion for her career and a soft kindness that flowed into every interaction. We were gifted with her presence, knowledge, compassion and dedication to the mission. I hope that her family knows the impact that she has left on all of us here. Much love and comfort to you and I am so sorry for your extraordinary loss.
My condolences to Valerie's daughter Sommer and her family. My deepest sympathy. They all are in my thoughts and prayers.
I never received the pleasure of meeting Ms. Valerie face-to-face, only through emails and the funniest training with her and Mr. Chad. May God continue to bless & watch over her family. You will be truly missed.
My sweet childhood friend. You were one of the first people I meet when I moved to Sheridan Heights. We stayed in touch over the years mostly social media but always promised to get together eventually. I hate that day never came. I will miss you so much my dear friend. Until we meet again my friend. Love you. Rest in our fathers arms
Praying for peace and comfort during this challenging time
My condolences to the family. Class of 78
My heart is so hurt. I can still hear my beautiful friend/sister deep and jolly laughter. During an illness in my childhood she became the only child that my mom would allow to come inside to play with me. Mom said "Val is genuinely concerned and has a kind heart". Yes, that proved to truly be correct about Val. I am especially blessed that God allowed Val and I to reconnect during adulthood to share several recent years enjoying life, food, laughter, good conversations and times together.
You will be missed.
