BUCKNER, Donald Lee "Don"

Mr. Donald Lee Buckner "Don" was born on April 16, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia, the first child of Roy Lane Buckner, Jr. and Betty Jean (Kennon) Buckner and the oldest grandchild of Cleola and Roy Lane Buckner, Sr.

Don graduated from George Westinghouse High school in Chicago, Illinois in 1971. After high school, he moved back to his hometown of Atlanta. His true passion was Real Estate investing which he discovered later in life.

He was led by his Christian faith with a strong belief in Jesus Christ. His children were his pride and joy. He liked to go on cruises, he loved the beach and being by the water. One of his favorite places was Florida, where he met his wife, Ginette "Gigi" Pelletier in 2017. They were married in 2019 in a ceremony under God's covenant.

He loved his family and those close to him dearly and he was loved so immensely by everyone he met.

Loving memories will be kept by his mother, Betty Buckner; his wife Gigi; his daughter, Avidahn and her fiancé, Dane Andrews; his son William and wife Christina Buckner; his brothers, Hamza Sadiq, Reggie Wilson and Roy Lane Buckner, III; and a host of nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors and former co-workers. May he forever rest in peace.
