Obituary For Rev. Weldon “Donnie”Motes

With profound sadness in our hearts we take this time to announce the transitioning from labor into reward Rev. Weldon Eugene”Donnie”Motes, 71 of 15 Academy Street Rebecca, Ga who departed this life to be with the Father on Tuesday October 14,2025 at his residence. Rev. Motes exchanged time for eternity to join the ranks of his earthly parents Mr. Virgil Motes, and Mrs. Francis Wilson, and his dearly beloved daughter Ms. April Motes, (1) Brother Dewayne, and (1) Sister Debbie.

Rev. Motes, who we affectionately called “Donnie”, was a man of valor for serving our nation as a decorated Seaman in the United States Navy. Outside of his love for the Savior Jesus Christ, Donnie had a passion for classical automobiles as he would often find time and task to complete under the hood.

Donnie a loved husband, father, brother, and confidant leaves behind fond memories to be cherish for his loving and devoted wife of 51 years Mrs. Dorinda Motes. (2) sons Jason, and Michael, (4) Grands Dillon, Damon, Jasmine, and Trevor, (5) Great Grands, (4) Brothers Rickey, Craig, Billy, Larry, and (1) Sister Belinda and a host of other relatives and special friends.

The Motes family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
