Obituary For Mrs.Naomi "Mary Ann" Freeman-Lewis

Naomi Freeman Lewis, 74 of Riverdale, Ga, passed away on January 8, 2018 at Piedmont Henry County Hospital, Stockbridge, Ga.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on January 13, 2018 at Tower of Prayer Church, 8429 1St Ave SE Leeds, Al. Overseer C. Shaemun Webster will be officiating with burial following the funeral at Moton Hill Cemetery, 235 Texas Ave Leeds, Al 35094. Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM to 8 PM on January 12, 2018 at Tower of Prayer Church. Funeral arrangements are being entrusted to Prestige Memorial Funeral Home 2412 Sansom Ave Gadsden Al 35904.

Naomi was born in Opelika, Alabama on December 14, 1943 to the late Comodie and Ruby (Strickland) Freeman and later relocated to Leeds, Al where she confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mount Calvery Baptist Church and the Eastern Stars. She was educated in the local area and graduated in May1960 from R. R. Moton High School.

Naomi was married to Allen Lewis Sr Leeds, Al August 1961 and three children were born into that union.

Naomi worked as an Account Manager with the Federal Reserve Bank of Alabama and as a school bus driver with the Jefferson County School System before relocating to Riverdale, Georgia. After relocation, she worked in the Accounting Department of Eagles Courier Services until retirement.

Naomi enjoyed cooking, watching TV (Cheering for the Golden State Warriors), spending time with her friends and family and most of all blogging on her Facebook "Wise Woman" blog where she wrote countless inspirational quotes daily and supplied countless hours of advice.

Naomi was preceded in death by daughter Erica Michele Lewis, siblings Marcellus and Comodie Freeman Jr.

Left to cherish her many memories is her best friend and son Allen Lewis Jr, Riverdale, Ga; cooking mate and daughter Kristi Lawanda Lewis, Birmingham, Al; adopted son Jamie Ousley (Margaret) Leeds, Al; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many Facebook bloggers.
