Mr. John Robert (Bobby) Stevens, Sr. was born on April 9, 1955 to the late Willie James Stevens Sr and Sarah Stevens Brooks of Randolph County, Georgia. Bobby received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System. He graduated from Monroe High School 'Class of 1973'. After graduation Bobby joined the U. S. Army. After serving his country he was honorably discharged. He was employed with Turner Job Corps and Cello Foil for many years where he exemplified a strong work ethic.
Survived by his former wife Latricia Wooden of Albany, Georgia of 23 years. To this union they built a foundation and birthed three beautiful children, whom they loved dearly. On Sunday, October 10, 2021, Bobby departed this life. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Luther and Frances Miller; sibling, Cheryl Ann Stevens; two Aunts, Bertha Hill and Nannie B. Anderson and two Uncles, Luther Miller Jr. and Jesse Miller. Cherished memories of his love and life will forever be remembered by his loving children, Latonya (Corey) James, John Stevens, Jr., and Brandon (Latracy) Stevens; siblings, Sandra Stevens Terry, Willie (Angie) Stevens Jr., Kenneth Stevens, and Joann Stevens Essic; grandchildren, Lakyran Rowell, Raven Rowell, Emily Wooden, Jamie Wooden, Amari Stevens, Bralynn Stevens, Jacrion Stevens, Brandon Stevens, Jr., Jacobi Stevens and Bryson Stevens; two Aunts-in-law, Cathy Miller and Sephronia Miller; one Uncle, Henry Miller of Springfield, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, god children, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
