Carolyn Gaffney

I had the pleasure of knowing Carolyn for several years. She was a mentor to me very early in my formative years. She began as my manager and turned into a what I always said was my work mom. She was as dedicated as a person could be and I'll always have fond memories of her. I only regret I was not there to celebrate her life. My thoughts to the family.

Hi my name is Corey Fortson. I had the pleasure of working with Miss Carolyn for 10 years when I first met her she came into my life at and a very dark time in my life and when I just lost my mom she helped me through that in so many ways.. within the 10 years I've worked for her we've got some ups and downs some life changing events she was also there when I lost my father and I needed some time off and she was there to make sure I needed everything I needed I had.. if you know Miss Carolyn she was a person that never threw away anything because she always seen the value of everything even if it's a little value everything has value you just got to know where to utilize that value at and she was that person to do that there's people with putting me down and she's always there to be there to comfort me and make me stronger.... I had some rough times in life and I was going to some things and it was kind of always was there for me she would call and check on me it wasn't always about the work that I could do for her it's about what she could do for me and that's so much stronger than the bond of you just meeting it was just like we was family she never treated me different she always was there for me. And I want to say thank you to you in heaven and I know you're looking down on us and watching us and I can't give it to you but I can do it for your family I'm going to be there for your family as long as I can and forever cuz your family is my family .. I remember telling your daughter that that's your mom and I said that's my mom too... When the supervisor McDonald's went to fire me and for a person to tell their boss no that it wasn't going to let me go that means a lot that showed me how much you love me and you care for me and you want to see me succeed and I want to say thank you for that you stood in the paint for me and it's more than right for me to stand for you... I love you and you'll be greatly missed but rest assured if they ever need me I got them just like you had me love you Miss Carolyn rest in peace
