Kwaku Gyasi

Death is inevitable but we will never get used to it nor welcome it gladly.

The news of Kwaku's passing was most unexpected and unsettling. Not seeing his posts in our year group's WhatsApp forum will take time to get used to. He was so active on the forum and always delivered his messages with equal measure of frankness and humour. If "I said what I said" was human... that was Kwaku.😅

I remember him for always advocating for others, always supporting our year group members' business ventures. He pushed hard for a year group classifieds directory so we could support each other. He tried his best to have everyone's back, as much as he could. And he never ever wanted anyone to think he had forgotten his Ghanaian roots. Ever! 'Go eat a burger', how??? IYKYK 😅😅😅

He is sorely missed.

May his good works have generational impact on his near and dear.

Psalm 34:18 assures us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit". This is true; so to Kwaku's family, I hope you are strengthened by the comfort God provides for this difficult time of great mourning. May God who knows best, and has our times and seasons in His hands, be with you.

May KG's soul find peaceful rest, and rise in glory on that day. Amen

I met Kwaku in 2006 as a new hire at Fidelity. When I asked him, he said his name meant "born on Wednesday". We sat next to each other in training class and worked together for eight years. My parents once sold him a goat and he came to our house with his son and spent all day butchering the goat and preparing it for his family. He was a genuine and kind person. I pray for his loved ones that they find peace. I was quite surprised to find out he had passed. I hope the Lord takes them under His wing and protects them during this time.

Aww Kwaku this is a sad day for MSS 81. News of your passing sent shock waves on the platform. You will be sorely missed especially your vibrant personality. May the angels lead you home and pray the good Lord will strengthen your family. God bless and keep you Natiew yie !!

Dear KG, you shall be sorely missed! You kept our platform so lively, sometimes I believe you just said some things just to kick us into reacting! We had been looking forward to seeing you in March at our 40th anniversary since leaving Motown (nickname for our high school), but you couldn't make it. Your passing came as such a great shock to some of us. We pray that the good Lord will comfort and strengthen your loved ones, and family. Rest in peace, brother!

Uncle Kwaku, I still can't believe that you're not here with us anymore. My heart is deeply broken but I know you are in a better place free of pain and suffering. I will miss you dearly. Thank you for all the good things, the advice and your willingness to always help me. May the good Lord receive your soul.

Dad, this is Kaleb your son, and I really miss you it was all sudden and more of a shock to Karsten and me. I was really left broken but the almighty Lord in heaven has given us a sign that you are with him in heaven and I really know you are enjoying your time there with God and hopefully one day we will all meet again in heaven for a big celebration. Really miss you Dad love you a lot!!!!
