May the peace and comfort of Almighty God surround this family. I met Sis. Baker 28 years ago at Greater St. Matthew. She led by example. I admired her. She will be missed but never forgotten.....

I met Marie as a young girl at The Greater St Matthew Baptist Church many years ago. As an adult I saw her life change. Now she's resting with her Lord & Savior. May God give the family peace to know that she is with her heavenly father.

Since 1980, Marie presence in my life is representative as a former Southern Bell ("AT&T") Telephone Company managerial co-worker, a best friend & we have experienced a lovely exchange of sisterhood. A few days before Marie's final hospitalization we were talking & laughing by telephone. My heart didn't expect nor was I prepared for Marie's heavenly graduation. Marie & I celebrated our last telephone conversation with a prayer. I am devastated, because Marie told me she wasn't leaving us. However, our merciful God of wisdom made the decision that Marie's pain/suffering would come to a closer.
