Our deepest condolences to the entire family. Ms Queen will be missed so much. I will miss our times together talking about the Lord and old times in the neighborhood. We also spent time together praying and reading devotion. She also told me about her early childhood how they lived totally off the land. A truly remarkable person. I'm so happy to know she is at rest.
Karen, Dwayne and Kantrice , you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Love you all my cousins 🙏🏾❤️
I extend my sincerest condolences to the family of Mrs. Queen Smith. She was an invaluable mentor to me during my initial tenure at Shands, possessing a truly remarkable spirit and consistently sharing her profound wisdom and knowledge. Her 50 years of dedicated service upon retirement are a testament to her commitment, and I am deeply honored to have had the privilege of her presence and acquaintance.
My heart is heavy as I think about the loss of my beloved cousin — someone who wasn't just family, but also a neighbor, a steady presence, and a truly exceptional nurse. She cared for everyone around her with a kindness that felt effortless and a compassion that made people feel safe. Her door was always open, her smile always warm, and her heart always ready to serve.
Living so close to her meant sharing everyday moments — the quick check-ins, the hey "Tefa" I made a cake, the laughter across the yard that her and my parents shared, the comfort of knowing she was right there. Those memories are now treasures I'll hold onto forever.
Her legacy of care, love, and service will continue to live in all of us who were blessed to know her. May my family find peace in remembering the joy she brought into our lives and strength in knowing her spirit remains with us. Cousin Queen have some laughter and smiles with my Daddy and Cousin James. You will be missed beautiful!!!
