LETTER TO MY BELOVED AUNTIE: It breaks my newly repaired heart that I can't be there in person to pay you the respect that you so richly deserve. I cried for a minute when I first heard about your passing then I remembered the person you were. Very spiritual and devout. There wasn't an aspect of your life that did not include the Father. Very much a child of God. I.never heard from you unless the spirit was upon you. I know you are enjoying your heavenly rewards, sitting on the right hand of our Lord and Savior. I shall miss your earthly presence so much but am comforted knowing you are with those of ccx the family that went before you. Rest on Heavenly Peace. Your niece, Valerie.
Mrs. Thurman became a long time friend through our involvement with Nija and the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. She always had the best interest of her family in her heart and on her mind -- even though she didn't mince words when she was giving you advice. She was a strong and determined woman with a strong belief in God. Our prayers and condolences for the entire family. She will be missed by many.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
