Sorry to hear of Yvette home going. My prayers is to the family in the days to come. I remember Yvette and her sisters being at her grandmother house on Trenton Drive I was raised next door to her grandmother. Family be strong.
To my dearest Auntie Yvette,
My heart is heavy, but it is so full of the light you brought into my life. When I think of you, I don't first feel sadness; I feel the warmth of your smile. It was the first thing to greet me every single time, a smile that could light up any room and make me feel like the most special person in the world. It was a promise that laughter and great conversation were always just moments away.
I will miss our talks so much. The kind of easy, soul-feeding conversation that could only happen with you. And I will especially miss those late rides from Florida to Georgia. There was something so sacred about those drives, just the hum of the road, the quiet of the night, and you. We'd talk about everything and nothing, the miles passing by effortlessly because I was in your company. I will cherish those memories as some of the greatest treasures of my life.
Your heart was a place of pure love. To ElToya and Roland, may you always feel the weight and warmth of that love. It wasn't just a feeling she carried; it was her very essence. May you find peace in knowing that her love for you was a force of nature, constant, fierce, and forever.
And for those beautiful grandchildren she adored, may you always remember the safety and joy of her arms wrapped around you. Her hugs were a home. She shared that same comfort with all who were lucky enough to love her.
Thank you, Auntie Yvette, for your smile, your laughter, your conversation, and the unforgettable miles we shared. Your love lives on in all of us you left behind.
With all my love, Tae
