To the Family, Sorors and Friends of The Late Bonnie Jones: You have my Deepest and Heartfelt Sympathy in the loss of someone so dear. I met Bonnie at Bowie State College where we danced in the Modern Dance group and were members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Her line was my first pledges. She was a multi-talented lady, Soror, and Friend. She was always a joy to be around. I will remember her creative spirt, unique laugh, bubbling personality and warm and friendly smile. Although it's sad to lose those who are dear to us, there is comfort in remembering all the times they made such a difference in our lives. How blessed we are who put our faith in God, for no matter how difficult it is to bear the pain of parting, we have His promise that one day we'll be reunited with those who have gone before us to our heavenly home. In another home, in a happier place, in a beautiful forever... you'll meet again. To wish you comfort as you grieve. May she rest in peace until that great getting up morning, Hallelujah!
I met Bonnie doing a play Return to mellow falls and we hit it off right away she brought so much life and wisdom to our castmates. Her laugh was so hearty and infectious you laughed too. I'm gonna miss her big hugs and smile. She really was the glue that held us together and was an Amazing actress who brought her character to life no matter what she played. I love you Bonnie thank you for your kind words and encouragement. Your Ben Ben
Bonnie Boo you're gone now. We had a Sorority Sisterhood of 45 years. We pledged, danced, performed, laughed, won Miss Calendar Girl Contest titles, and enjoyed your Godson and Nephew Jelani at The Juilliard School. Thanks for being courageous enough to call on October 15th, to say "goodbye ", because you said , "I showed how much I loved and cared for you over the years". It was an easy thing to do even though there were many miles between us. We left Maryland and made a name for ourselves in the entertainment world. Soror Bonnie, take your rest now above the "real stars". Shine and smile wherever your soul rest. I'll never forget you. To the Family, God bless you all. Thanks for sharing Bonnie with all of us.

It was a joy to perform with Bonnie at The Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. She always entered the dressing room with a cheerful "Hi everybody." I had the pleasure of seeing her perform in several off Broadway shows. When our daughter ran for the city council from Bonnie's district she was there handing out flyers and making phone calls. She never asked what she could do. she just jumped in to help Laurie Cumbo get elected. All of us travel on the highway of life, What we don't know is when it will come to an end. Bonnie traveled it well. Our thoughts to the family The Cumbo family Wilkins Beverly and Laurie Cumbo Brooklyn NY
Where do I begin...Bonnie and I met several years ago in a play that we were both cast in for F.I.G. the play was "Black Wall Street" we connected immediately. We went on to do several plays with F.I.G.through the years and we also did several independent films together.
Bonnie later on took me under her wing at the Metropolitan Opera in which she had worked at for many years. It was all new for me, but Bonnie made sure that she had my back and gave me the inside scoop about the Met and who everyone was.
Bonnie was more than just an acting colleague to me, and more than just a friend. She was family. I nicknamed her Bonnie Bear. Where the name came from who knows, lol, it just stuck to the point that whenever I mentioned her name to my mother, she would say, "oh Bonnie Bear."
Losing Bonnie for me is like the end of a chapter in my life. She will be truly missed by myself and many others.
She had such a promising career in acting. Almost every role that she was cast in, she made it her own and after she done the role, you could not imagine anyone else playing that character.
Bonnie always kept me laughing too whenever we were together.
The thing that stands out to me the most is how Bonnie would give the shirt off her back to help others. She gave freely and never asked for anything in return. She was a very devoted catholic and always remained faithful to the very end. She was truly a faithful friend to the end. I feel truly blessed to of had her in my life. I tell every one I was the lucky one to have found someone like Bonnie to have as a friend. She will be missed forever. Rest in Eternal Peace Bonnie Bear. I know you are in heaven and you will always look over all of us.
Bonnie was my cast mate and friend. She was one of the most warm hearted people I know. An incredible actress who knew how to work the stage and how to connect with her cast and the audience. I met Bonnie through our good friend Paula Flynn. We all performed together in Faith In God Productions. Traveled to local areas either to perform or to spend time together. Bonnie was the glue who held us together. A true friend to all who knew her. She will never be forgotten. I love you Bonnie! We had such great times together. May you Rest In Peace. Love, Your friend and cast mate, Angela Rostick
I only knew Bonnie from the Super dressing room at the MET opera. She was always friendly, caring, warm and joyful. She was dedicated and loved performing. She left a lasting impression on me and I will miss her smile. May she rest in peace. Harriet Feiwel
The beauty and love that was so much a part of her was a joy to me and so many of her Metropolitan Opera friends. I cherish the fact that she was in my life. Love you forever. Prayers. Bob Diamond
Bonnie! A beautiful friend/sister that I had the pleasure of knowing during my days at Bowie State University! Rest in Heaven Big Sister Bonnie. Love You!
Bonnie, you were the first person I met and befriended standing in the financial aid line at Bowie State College, now University. You told me about the off campus housing where you were living. We became roommates our freshman year. You moved on campus your sophomore year but we remained friends throughout our college years. We agreed to pledge AKA in our junior year along with Lark Brown, now Lewis. After graduation you moved to New York to pursue your dream. We continue to remain friends, line sisters, and could not wait to see you each year at homecoming. You continue to call me "West" after all these years. You were such a faithful and devoted friend and sister and you made an indelible impact on my life. I will miss you and you will always remain in my heart and memory. Sweet rest until we meet again. Sisterly love. Soror Jacquie West McGlen

I wish everyone peace, happiness, love, hugs as we send Bonnie off to her destiny. Love, forever, Jerry Blasenstein
