It is never easy to say goodbye to someone as wonderful as Rita! The last conversation we had she was saying how she would be back at school on the 4th of January. I always called her my work daughter. We all loved Rita. She was truly an amazing person and we all miss her! Sharon Brock

Rita was one of a kind, and she knew how to light up a room with her smile. She was a selfless person who loved everyone she met. She always had an interest in what my kids were doing and I the same. She is going to be greatly missed. Such a great and kind soul taken too soon. We will always remember your smile and remember try to live each day to the fullest, and don't take things for granted. I had Corey in kindergarten. I loved Rita. We have had so many laughs through the years. I looked forward to seeing her daily in the cafeteria. Rita always gave so much of herself. She always went beyond. She befriended my child and called her 'My Buddy". I just can't wrap my head around this loss. I expect to see her at work on Monday. Dear Miss Rita, I will truly miss seeing your friendly face at Ridgeview. Both my students and I were always excited to see you at lunch time. We were greeted with a smile, and you made each child feel special by asking them a question about scouts, sports, or school. You joked right along with me while we were encouraging the students to try the broccoli, and spread the beautiful smile you greeted us with throughout the school.
