James Nelson, age 62, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025.

Born on June 13, 1963, in Queens, New York, James brought energy, compassion, and warmth to every community he touched. He was a devoted father to Isaiah Nelson and Chaez Nelson, and a proud grandfather to Ca’Mar Nelson, Caleigh Moreno, Caitlynn Moreno, and Delani Nelson. His family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

A true pillar of the Warner Robins community, James was known for his outgoing nature, deep love of sports, and gift for conversation. He had a special way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. James dedicated countless hours volunteering at the local recreation department, mentoring youth and supporting programs that brought the community together.

His legacy of service, warmth, and connection will live on in the lives of those he touched. Whether sharing stories from the sidelines or offering a helping hand at a local event, James made an unforgettable impact on everyone he met.

Funeral services will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Warner Robins. Service details will be shared by the family.

He also leave to cherish his memory Children: Erica Brannum and Jacob Brannum. Grandkids: Katelyn & Justin Withers, Madison & Michael Holliman, Kaylee, Jayida & Jordyn Brannum.
