Nathaniel Styles, affectionately known to those who loved him as “Thang,” was born on June 26, 1960, in Houston County, Georgia, to the late Richard Styles and Trudy Mae Holiday-Styles. He attended Warner Robins High School and was a member of Sandbed Baptist Church, which he joined in the late 1980s.
Nathaniel had a heart full of love and a spirit that brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. He cherished nothing more than the time spent with his family and friends. Whether he was casting a line at his favorite fishing spot, manning the grill at family gatherings, or tending to his garden with pride, Nathaniel found joy in life’s simple pleasures. His kindness, easy smile, and generous soul left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Richard Styles and Trudy Mae Holiday-Styles; his brothers Jimmie Lee Thomas and Richard Styles Jr.; and his dear sisters Geneva Curry, Annette Styles, and Gussie Pearl Styles.
Nathaniel’s memory will be forever cherished by his devoted aunt Lilly Bell Williams; his loving sisters Rosa Lee Styles, Linda Jean Styles, Maybell Styles, Patricia Anne Styles, and Joyce Ann Styles; his brother Johnny Styles; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, extended family, and many dear friends who were touched by his love, laughter, and presence.
Nathaniel lived a life filled with love, laughter, and fun and excitement. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of warmth and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
